Grammy 2018: confira os vencedores da premiação

Despacito foi ofuscada por Bruno Mars no Grammy. A queridinha estava indicada a canção e gravação do ano, dois dos mais importantes prêmios da noite, mas perdeu para That’s What I Like It e 24k Magic, respectivamente, ambas do cantor americano. Caso tivesse ganhado, teria sido a primeira música em espanhol a conquistar as estatuetas.

A música dos porto-riquenhos Luis Fonsi e Daddy Yankee com Justin Bieber concorria também ao prêmio de melhor performance pop de duo ou grupo, mas perdeu para Feel It Still, de Portugal. The Man.

O hit foi o primeiro projeto musical a bater a marca de 4 bilhões de visualizações no YouTube — 898 milhões de vezes mais visto do que qualquer outro vídeo na plataforma. Despacito também se consagrou a canção a ficar mais tempo no topo da lista Hot 100 da Billboard, dominando o ranking por 16 semanas consecutivas em 2017.
